What is the Team Pa CareerLink?

The Team PA Careerlink is a "One-Stop" center. providing an array of career and workforce development services to employers and job seekers, as mandated by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998.

The Team PA Careerlink provides customers-both employers and job seekers-with convenient access to a wide range of employment and training resources through a single location, and , when possible, through internet linkages. By integrating the resources of collaborating agencies, the Team PA CareerLink delivers an enhanced level of services with fewer hassles.

CareerLink Core Services for Employers:

Orientation to Careerlink systems and services.
Multiple methods to list job openings, with employer choice regarding the method of referral and the information on the job listing available to the public.
Access to resumes posted by job-seekers using the CareerLink.
Access to America's Career Kit.
Automated job matching.
Referral to qualified candidates.
Information on training programs and providers, including consumer reports on program effectiveness.
Labor market information to bridge economic and workforce development.
Information on human resources topics such as tax credits, UC, and labor law compliance.
Initial skills assessment / occupational profiling of company positions.
Computerized training to upgrade basic skills of incumbent workers.
Rapid Response Services.
CareerLink Core Services for Job Seekers:

Assistance in establishing eligibility for training programs.
Outreach, intake, and orientation to CareerLink system and services.
Initial assessment of skill levels, aptitudes, and supportive services needs.
Job search and placement assistance.
Career counseling.
Labor market information including job vacancy listing and local in-demand occupations.
Consumer reports on performance and cost of eligible training programs.
Information on availability of supportive services in the local area.
Information regarding Unemployment Compensation.
