Douglas Education Center’s campus is conveniently located in the Mid-Mon Valley and offers students a wide range of educational choices in the business, medical, arts and cosmetology fields. In addition, this centrally located geographic area provides students with an environment rich in cultural heritage and many educational and recreational opportunities. These valuable advantages aid students in the development of successful careers.

7th Street Administration Building
Douglas Education Center spans five city blocks in Monessen, Pennsylvania. The main campus building is located at 130 Seventh Street. This four-story brick building houses administrative and faculty offices, lecture classrooms, computer labs with accelerated internet access, Library / Learning Resource Center, Clinical Laboratory, Resident Care and Rehabilitative Lab, and a Guest Lounge.
All instructional facilities are climate-controlled, cheerfully designed, well-equipped, and comfortably furnished. The equipment and technology are contemporary and state-of-the-art. Upgrades are made continuously to keep abreast of the evolving marketplace.
All offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you require meeting with an office or individual, please schedule an appointment with the appropriate person. The Director of Financial Aid and Bursar must be informed of any change in name, address, or telephone number.

7th Street Annex Douglas Design Studio
This high end cutting-edge studio is equipped with state of the art furniture and lighting. Wireless capability is available for laptop and desktop computers which allow students internet access, networking, and printing.
The Macintosh lab houses ten (10) G4 tower computers sporting dual 1.3 Ghz. processors and graphics cards for processing high-end graphics and multimedia. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as well as IMovie, IPhoto and Internet Explorer are housed on these computers. Software packages will expand as required by classroom curricula.
Van Keulen Complex
The Van Keulen Complex located at 531 Schoonmaker Avenue, includes Career Services, offices, a conference center, a banquet hall, two multi purpose seminar rooms. Graduations and orientations are held at the Van Keulen Complex as well as open house and special workshops.

Computer Recource Center
The Learning Resources Center is designed to facilitate the educational goals and objectives of Douglas Education Center by providing instructional support sources and programs to enhance and supplement classroom instruction and the individual's learning experience. This state of the art facility helps students become proficient in today's business and administrative operations through internet access, multimedia presentations and many software applications. Software packages will expand as courses demand it. The LRC houses the latest equipment and software in the technology and design fields. Students can study, relax or enjoy a snack between classes. Hours are posted at the door.

Computer Lab
This computer lab houses Intel Pentium 4 and Athalon PC computers. Software packages include Microsoft Office 2003, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver MX, Flash MX, Director 8.0, 3D Studio Max, Key Champ, Certification Prep for MOS, Keyboarding Pro as well as Internet Explorer 5 for internet access.
Software packages will expand as required by classroom curricula.

8th Street Arts Building (Savini Building)
The Arts Building located at 108 Eighth Street, houses faculty offices, Photography Studio, Foam Mixing Room, Mold Making and Sculpting Rooms, Sculpting Studios, Make-up Studios, FX Workshop, Fabricating Room, Finishing Room, the Book Room, and the Supply Room.

4th Street Cosmetology Building (Cosmetology & Arts)
The Cosmetology Arts Building located on the corner of Fourth Street and Schoonmaker Avenue, includes offices, classrooms, a library, a dispensary, a shampoo room, as well as airbrush studios, painting areas, and lecture rooms.

The Student Salon
This area houses the latest in salon equipment. Freestanding double-sided stations, self-ventilating manicure tables, facial and make-up areas as well as three back wash shampoo stations. Students will refine all skills in a professional atmosphere.
