Mr. Jerry Gergely Douglas Education Center 130 Seventh Street Monessen, PA 15062 Dear Mr. Gergely: I am writing in reference to the invaluable assistance you and your department provided Mon Valley Emergency Medical Service in the preparation and implementation of the disaster exercise on December 6, 2001 Your department was able to provide us with exceptional simulated victims for the exorcise on very short notice. The make-up provided by your students was the best ever seen in a disaster exercise to date. The skill, ability, and process presented by tour staff and students are commendable. Both the hospital and pre-hospital responders were mesmerized by the depth and realism of the injuries present on the victims. this allowed the exercise participants to place themselves in the exercise situation and deal with the injuries provided. It has been a pleasure working with such a professional staff and skilled students at Douglas Education Center. Testimonial When I first became a student at Douglas Education Center, I felt that I had seen most of what the world had to offer. My view of life and the world in general has since changed. Not only from an artistic perspective but also as a human being. It was amazing to find out how many details in life I had been missing. Everything including shapes, colors, & shadows had all of the sudden become visible to me. It was like I had found a whole new world I had never before seen.   Since graduation I have been blessed with a position at a career oriented company looking to expand and grow in the same directions that I desire. I never realized how enjoyable work could actually be.  I also came up with an idea that I feel will be a wonderful resource for our very own community. They sure knew who to pick. Congratulations! I also wanted to tell you that I got a job at the Mon Valley Health Center. I start on September 4th. I sent them a copy of my resume and a letter of recommendation from Dr. Stillwagon. I also wrote them a letter explaining my disability. I want to thank you for all your help. June 17,2004 Dear Mr, Jeffrey D.Imbrescia, This is a letter to let you know that Betty Jo Rapp is a wonderful asset to your school !!! No matter how many times I call and no matter how confusing I find some aspect of financial aid and/or application process she always helps me to figure out what I need to do, how I need to do it and the best way to accomplish what needs to be done . She is always so personable and takes the “fear factor” out of the equation. Even when I thank her for all her wonderful help she seems to feel that she is just doing her job. She does it a lot better than may in my experience. I have two other children in College. I have dealt with a large Southern University, a private small college in New York and a University in the west. I can honestly say that the levels of care and concern that Betty Jo Rapp shows whenever I call her (no matter what kind of a stress level I seem to have!!) always puts things into perspective and helps me to get the heart of the matter and the situation get taken care of intelligently and expediently.
